Webinar and Q&A topics:
A Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) solution enables a company to optimize the management of its assets through tools for planning and tracking maintenance activities, describing asset portfolios, managing inventory, and monitoring performance indicators.
A Geographic Information System (GIS) is a computer tool that allows for the collection, storage, analysis, and representation of all types of geographic or spatial data. Data visualization can be done on map backgrounds or using other visual representations.
The combined use of these two highly complementary tools, GIS and CMMS, proves to be of great value for an electricity network manager.
This webinar will provide an opportunity to highlight the benefits associated with the implementation of a CMMS solution and a GIS solution, as well as to explain the various steps involved in deploying such solutions and the associated recommendations, particularly regarding the specificities related to the assets and maintenance activities of an electricity network manager.
Additionally, during this webinar, the results of a benchmark study comparing different CMMS solutions available on the market, already used by electricity network managers and integrating or allowing the integration of a GIS, will be presented.
Speaker:
This webinar will be presented by Guillaume Kovacs, a consulting engineer working for RTE International since 2022. Guillaume completed his engineering training at the National School of Energy, Water, and Environment (ENSE3, part of the Grenoble INP group) and specialized in energy sciences and technologies, thermal energy, energy applied to housing, electricity networks, and energy market regulations.
Graduating in 2013, his professional experience began at RTE, the electricity transmission network manager in France, specifically at the Nancy Dispatch Center for real-time management of electrical flows on the Very High Voltage (VHV) and High Voltage (HV) networks in the "East" region. He then became a trainer at RTE's national training center in Lyon, where he designed and conducted training sessions in the operation and management of electricity networks.
His recent assignments for RTE International, on behalf of European and African electricity network managers, involve optimizing the planning of operations and maintenance of electricity transmission networks. During these assignments, he has studied the functioning of various CMMS solutions on the market and contributed to the drafting of technical and functional specifications for the configuration of these solutions to align with the assets and maintenance processes of electricity network managers.
This event will be held at the AFD headquarters, in the Louis Alliot room, and will also be available for streaming to facilitate remote participation. Please be aware that registration for this webinar is required.
