According to the International Energy Agency, an annual investment of $35 billion is needed to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 7, representing only 2% of the investments made in energy production in 2019. This trend highlights the importance of the internationalization of French companies in the energy access sector, contributing to reducing France's trade deficit in goods. With a real and active French offer presented in the Made in France expertise document, financing and export guarantee tools such as FASEP play a crucial role in differentiation on the international stage, acting as levers for the domestic industry.

In a move to reindustrialize French sectors internationally, Transition Énergétique export clubs aim to promote French expertise to local authorities and public authorities, while the Strategic Committee for New Energy Systems promotes a collaborative approach to exports among French companies. The FASEP, in meeting these objectives, is an essential tool for establishment and referencing in new countries, also facilitating access to bilateral and multilateral funders.

The launch of a new FASEP call for proposals for innovative and sustainable solutions for energy autonomy is well-received by members of the National Working Group on Energy Access. They call for the replication of previous project calls, emphasizing the importance of linking FASEP reflection to other financial tools to effectively support deployment and ensure its success.
