The Digital Energy community is organizing a webinar to present the study on the use of satellite data within access strategies and related to innovative technologies surrounding this data for the improvement of electric grid management, in partnership with the AFD Sectoral Energy Platform. The event will be held in a hybrid format (limited in-person seats, registration below). The main themes addressed include:
- Planning and deployment of networks with a focus on energy access programs
- Management of infrastructure environments and natural and climate-related risks
- Infrastructure management and predictive maintenance
This study has brought together a panel of key stakeholders in the subject and emphasizes the use of technologies such as visible and multispectral optical images, as well as radar data such as SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) and InSAR (Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar). It also highlights the combined use of geospatial imagery data, aerial photographs, LiDAR scanners, and ground sensors. The overarching issue is to leverage satellite telecommunications capabilities to implement a wide range of integrated and effective solutions in the energy and electrical networks sector.
